Day 7, A Bouquet for You.

“I still find each day too short for all the thoughts I want to think, all the walks I want to take, all the books I want to read, and all the friends I want to see.” John Burroughs.

I miss my friends. I miss our conversations. I miss the connection.
Sending virtual flowers was an exercise to reach you all and say thank you for being a friend.
John Burroughs, a nature essayist from the early 1900’s, accompanied the flower deliveries through his writings that shared sentiments around seeing.
He beautifully presented a challenge, so that I took to walking and gathering… to see and to share.
Enjoy this bouquet of every flower sent your way over the past six days, arranged for you.

And for all my friends who are moms, this delivery is scheduled with you in my happy thoughts.
Stay well.
Take Comfort.
Karen

A perfect ending to a beautiful series. thanks back to you my friend!
The joy of these posts is that we can look at them again and again and see and think of their beauty, intricate shapes and place in the universe. Thanks for bringing this to all. Happy Mother’s Day to you and of course, to my old friend , who is your mother.
I’m smiling that you will go back and read again. Hope the posts brighten any day.
Happy Mom’s Day! Thank you for the incredible bouquet. I am blessed to call you friend.
Blessings on my end too!
Happy Mothers’ Day to you! Your talents to see the Earth’s beauty, photograph your perceptions and express those in words that delight amaze me. I am so happy to share in those precious moments through Take Comfort. This is going to be another gorgeous day. I hope you enjoy it, my sweet friend. Thank you for this start to mine.
I have never had a more exquisite bouquet given for its loveliness to be shared equally to mothers ! From the Heartland of Texas where the flowers are wild and spirited, you captured their beauty and gave us all a journey to enjoy them to their fullest while thanking you along the way for your friendship. And then there is the hummingbird!?!
Thank you. “Wild and spirited” flowers in the hill country… I love that!
Happy Mother’s Day Karen! This has been a wonderful tribute to mothers everywhere. Give our love to Eleanor when you are able to hug her again. I hope that is soon. Love you, Laurie & Tim
I am ready for that hug!
Thank you for the flowers, Karen. I’ve enjoyed each day. 💐
Happy Mother’s Day!
Thanks. Hope you are well.

This is a trifle belated, but thank you for the exquisite bouquet! So beautiful even the hummingbird was made to pause. I adore this picture! And thank you also for introducing me to Mr. Burroughs, whose words are so evocative.
This is a very late post, but I wanted you to know how much I enjoyed your series of 7 days of flower photographs. The John Burroughs quotes are wonderful, too. As always your descriptions are so evocative and draw me in to feel like I’m walking with you. Incredible photos and closeups and what a special hummingbird on the bouquet!
